- GH Induction Atmospheres (GH IA), a leading American provider of customized industrial heating solutions for the past 15 years, also maintains extensive facilities for inductor (coil) design, manufacture , and repair.
The inductor, sometimes referred to as an induction coil because of a frequently-used shape, is one the most important aspects of an industrial induction heating machine. A well-designed inductor provides the proper heating pattern for the part and maximizes the efficiency of the induction heating power supply, while still allowing easy insertion and removal of the part.
"Our inductor experts are ready to provide application support, design and manufacturing expertise, and prompt service for virtually any shape or size of inductor," says Dale Wilcox, GH IA co-founder and General Manager. "It doesn't matter where your inductor was originally designed or purchased; we are happy to work with you to optimize and restore your coil back to like-new geometry, appearance, and function."
GH-IA's repair and restoration technicians utilize special mandrells to restore the inductor's original geometry. Electrical testing and leak detection testing are also included. A wide range of coatings and paints (including: electrical isolating paint, nylon-dipping and ceramic coating) are available to increase product life span and eliminate electric arcs between the inductor and the part being heated.
